I’m 33‼️ [selfie collection 23/24] • What a weird year am I right? I kinda thought I settled into what I thought life would look like moving forward early last year and then that quickly went out the window. I wouldn’t say I’m particularly good at being resilient or strong so every twist felt like a beating and the constant bruising wears you down. I persisted but I don’t think that’s particularly admirable, just apart of experiencing life along side my earth dwelling family. I post highlights like everyone else because the burden of wading through peoples personal posts on social media can be so heavy and we are all carrying enough. Idk. I had a lot of good too but I tend to ruminate on the negative and chase the next high so I can sift through it and weigh what feels worth it. I did really lean into being vulnerable and authentic in more spaces though, that tends to drive people away so I think I might reevaluate how I’m doing that and see where it lands me this year. I’m really going to try to stop putting so much stock into thinking another year passing and the month leading up to this marked passage means something when really it’s just another day! Not in a sad way just in a healthy bit of detachment. This is my one time a year I diary post but that is going to change too 🙂 happy birthday to me, one year closer to early onset dementia ✨love to everyone reading this here post 🫶🏾
